Rotary Donations In Kind is Rotary’s main recycling project with goods gathered from the community and corporate sector, distributed through Rotary Clubs and given to people in need wherever they are located.

While Rotarians were building a structure to help people overseas they were also creating a significant National Recycling operation that is the one of the most cost effective in Australia. Rotary is a business based organization with 30,000 practical people in Australia, 1,217,000 world wide, operating in 220 countries. This provides not only a wonderful opportunity to identify what is available for recycling locally, we can also identify where it is needed. Without these links, goods could go to landfill for the simple reason that no one knew who to give them to.

Recycling is something that everyone can be involved in; individuals can collect goods and work in the Store and we welcome corporate support.

The Donations In Kind Stores have the capacity to collect and process more material and to help more people deserving of our support, the only limitations at donations and funding.

While Donations In Kind a Rotary project it is also a community asset and we look forward to forming Community Partnerships to address Community issues.
